Dr. Mills is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a State of Ohio medical license. Dr. Mills completed his undergraduate work at the University of Rochester, New York, obtaining a baccalaureate degree with honors in Chemistry and Biology. He was then awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Following medical school, Dr. Mills completed his residency training at the MetroHealth Campus of Case Western Reserve, then completed a research fellowship in cardiovascular electrophysiology and stem cell medicine.
Dr. Mills has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards stemming from his research into the application of new technologies to medicine such as awards from the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Heart Association, the National Institutes of Health and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Mills' work has resulted in over 25 published manuscripts and abstracts as well as numerous presentations at local, state, national and international meetings.
In line with his academic orientation, Dr. Mills remains active in teaching and research, and currently serves on the Faculty of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and as a Staff Physician at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Dr. Mills is currently developing innovative primary care practice models to serve all types of patients and all income levels throughout the United States.
